I guess I've kind of mixed these pictures up a bit ... the top right is a tower we climbed that is used to scout fires in the dry season.  Quite a view - we saw this on our Jeep Tour (the sunset tour).  The next couple of shots were taken with an amber filter on my lens because the colors were just so drap from the rain, etc.  Lower left is of course a Mule Deer, named so because of their great, big ears ... these deer were pretty common to see and used to people so you could get right up and take nice shots.  They were so used to people tho, no matter how close you got, they wouldn't look into the camera and smile!  The lower middle shot is an old stone building turned into a gift shop of course!

The first few shots are of the infamous Grand Canyon mules!  I didn't book the ride early enough in advance - be warned that the famous Grand Canyon Mule ride (a day's ride down into the canyon which leaves from Angel Bright Lodge) can book up as far as a year in advance, and 6 months advance reservations are highly recommended!  You must also weigh under 200 pounds and it helps not to be afraid of heights - even tho they have NEVER lost a tourist in all the years the mule ride has been operating!  The bottom three shots are from the moving car as I was leaving the Canyon ... these clouds follwed me everywhere I was out West!
