The top photos are of yet another rare species of equine which you can view few other places than the San Diego Wild Animal Park, the Kiang. The Kiang is also a member of the ass family and native to Tibet. For more about the Kiang: The bottom row of photos are a deer in
the petting zoo, vulture and a baby Bongo in the nursery getting lunch! |

The first photo is a shot of the open area of the Wild Animal Park. Next is a "Takin" which are related to the musk oxen and live in the same habitat as Giant Pandas in China. Then we have a black rhino baby, gazelle and I'm not sure which species of Giraffe we have here! |
